Scott was recruited to run track for Division I Brown University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Sciences from the university in 2007. Mississippi State University awarded her a Meteorology Certification in 2010. Since September 2011, she has worked as a morning and weekend meteorologist for NBC 5 in Chicago.

She previously served as a weekend meteorologist for WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee, an NBC affiliate. As multiple tornadoes struck Knoxville in April 2011, she was on the news. Scott not only served as an important source for keeping viewers up to date on storm developments while also providing vital safety information, but she also donated her time with the Red Cross after the disaster.

Scott previously served as a weekend weathercaster for WSEE-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania, in 2007, as well as providing forecasts for the Caribbean Weather Channel’s 24-hour channel. She began her career as an intern at WCAU-NBC 10 in Philadelphia in 2006. Scott currently serves on the American Red Cross Board of Directors.
