Clifford began his television career as the play-by-play voice of basketball, baseball, and football on the Miami Student Radio Network, also known as RedHawk Radio, while still a student at Miami University. He was also a sports anchor/broadcaster for MUTV and a sports columnist for the students. He also hosted the American sports-talk radio show “Midwest Bias.” From December 2013 to May 2014, he worked as a Sports intern at CBS Local 12 after graduating from high school. Charlie worked with Brad Johansen and Jed DeMuesy and was in charge of editing, producing, and writing Local 12 Sports segments.
Clifford accepted a position as an Associate Producer at WGN Radio in Chicago, Illinois, in 2014. He worked for a few months before moving on to WKBT News 8 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Charlie would work as a Weekend Sports Anchor / Sports Reporter for the station. Clifford is currently employed by WISH-TV Channel 8, a CW-affiliated television station based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Charlie reported for WKBT on the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Minnesota Wild, as well as the Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, and NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four.
