Following that, he co-anchored the final season of King World’s nationally syndicated news magazine show, American Journal, with his sister, Michele Dabney-Perez, replacing Nancy Glass. Prior to 2006, he worked as a weekday reporter and weekend anchor at WABC-TV in New York City. He co-anchored the weekend editions of Eyewitness News at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. with Sandra Bookman. Perez appeared on-screen as one half of a duo with Norman Korpi during the inaugural season of MTV’s The Real World.
