Cayden Boyd was cast in his first acting role in NBC’s medical comedy drama series ‘Scrubs’ when he was six years old. In the season one episode ‘My Fifteen Minutes’, he played a character named Hummer. He later played a character named Little Boy in Nickelodeon’s sitcom ‘Taina’. In 2002, he made his full-credit debut on CBS’ sitcom ‘The King of Queens’. Boyd made his film debut in ‘Fault’ (2002), playing the younger version of the protagonist Mark (the elder version was played by Joe Fria). He made three pictures the next year. He collaborated with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in the fantasy comedy ‘Freaky Friday’.
In 2004, he appeared as a guest in two shows: CBS’ science fiction legal drama ‘Century City’ and NBC’s criminal drama ‘Crossing Jordan’, as well as minor roles in the comedy ‘Envy’ and ‘DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story’.
Boyd played Max, the main character in Robert Rodriguez’s 2005 action adventure film The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl. He played the younger version of the mutant superhero Angel in the 2006 film ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ (Ben Foster played the adult version). Boyd played Ben Reynolds in the 2007 drama film ‘Have Dreams, Will Travel,’ based on true events. His character was a youngster living in 1960s America who was largely disregarded by his parents. His latest film appearance was in the 2008 drama picture ‘Fireflies in the Garden’.
While Boyd is best recognized for his acting profession, he still maintains a successful regular career outside of the entertainment business. From May to September 2013, he worked as a construction worker for Quality Concrete Construction.
