Catalina Morales Family – Education
The family fled Colombia when she was six months old and settled in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. She graduated from Colegio Católico Notre Dame in Caguas with a 4.0 GPA. She then attended the University of Puerto Rico, Ro Piedras Campus, where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations. She enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico School of Law after taking a year off to care for her terminally sick father, and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2017.

Morales was chosen to represent Guaynabo at the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2015 pageant in 2015. During the competition, she received the TRESemmé Best Hair award and finished sixth in the national costume category. Morales was crowned the champion of the competition on October 9, 2014, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. During her reign, she wrote a book on her father’s battle with and death from terminal lung cancer. She competed as Miss Universe Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada, but did not place. Her tenure as Miss Universe Puerto Rico ended the following year, when she crowned Kristhielee Caride as her successor.
Catalina Morales Pageantry
Morales’ pageant career began in 2008 when she was chosen to represent Puerto Rico in Miss Italia nel Mondo 2008, a contest for women from the Italian diaspora. She didn’t win the contest. Morales returned to pageantry three years later, representing Gurabo in the Miss World Puerto Rico 2011 competition, where she finished in the top twelve.

Morales was announced as one of 43 women shortlisted to compete in season 25 of The Bachelor in October 2020. She was later one of five ladies who joined the show during episode four, which aired on January 25, 2021. Morales was eliminated in the next show, which aired on February 1.

Morales began anchoring her own television segment “Catalina’s Universe” on WAPA-TV’s Viva la tarde in July 2015. Her contract with WAPA-TV expired in August 2016.
WAPA-TV (Channel 4) is an independent Spanish-language television station in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Hemisphere Media Group [es] owns it, and InterMedia Partners owns 84% of it. WAPA-TV’s studios are on Avenida Luis Vigoreaux in Guaynabo, and its transmitter is at Cerro La Santa in Cayey, in the Bosque Estatal de Carite mountain reserve, near the WKAQ-TV (channel 2) transmission tower.
