Brian met his troupe members during his freshman year of high school. They discovered that they shared a passion for drama and decided to form a group to hone their skills. They wanted to give the group a silly name that made people uncomfortable. They settled on the name Tenderloins for the group. After graduation, the four high school friends drifted apart, each deciding to pursue their own interests. Brian attended Brooklyn College before joining the New York Fire Department as a firefighter. He spent seven years with Ladder Company 86/Engine 166. He still returns on occasion to see his FDNY colleagues.
