Brendan Fehr CSI: Miami
He appeared as Dan Cooper, a Lab Tech who became the new Audio/Visual Tech after Tyler Jenson’s departure in the American police procedural drama television series CSI: Miami. He had a good relationship with the Crime Lab staff as well as the CSIs until the Season 6 episode “Bang, Bang, Your Debt,” when it is discovered that he stole and used a credit card belonging to the late Tim Speedle, much to the chagrin of Delko and Calleigh, who told him to turn himself in or she would issue a warrant for his arrest.
Presumably, this incidence of identity theft was the final nail in the coffin for Cooper, prompting him to retire from the lab permanently and in disgrace. As a result, despite the fact that she does not pursue charges, he carries a personal grudge against Calleigh for this and steals the flashcard from her camera at a crime scene to post the photographs on a website he has built to “take her down a notch.”
He also alters her phone number and places it on the site, and she is kidnapped as a result of a “lead” (“Ambush”). Cooper eventually feels sorry after an outraged Delko confronts him, and turns in evidence that helps the team track down Calleigh, liberate her, and arrest her kidnappers.
Brendan Fehr Roswell
He appeared as Michael Guerin, Max’s best friend in the American science fiction television series Roswell. Michael is an alien who is unsure of his place on Earth. He has a romantic relationship with Maria. His specific ability is never revealed, and he has the most difficulty regulating himself, particularly when his emotions are high.
Liz Parker, Maria DeLuca, and Alex Whitman are high school students in Roswell, New Mexico, at the time of the Roswell Incident. Liz is shot during an argument and is saved by Max Evans, who heals her with his alien talents. Max, Isabel, and Michael are Antar-born aliens who crashed in Roswell in 1947. Max, Liz, and Kyle Valenti form a love triangle. Liz reveals Max’s secret to Maria, and Alex discovers the aliens.
Secrets and secrecy become key themes in the series, as characters establish relationships and conspiracies. Two relationships develop between human and alien characters: Liz and Max’s is gentle and lovely, while Michael and Maria’s is passionate and explosive. The “Royal Four” of Antar, who are alien-human hybrids, are revealed to be clones of Max, Isabel, Michael, and Tess at the end of the season. Their purpose is to return to Antar and regain Kivar’s kingdom.
Brendan Fehr The Night Shift
He appeared as Dr. Drew Alister on The Night Shift. Drew’s parents, notably his father, were opposed to his homosexuality and refused to communicate with him. He tried to hide his homosexuality from the hospital personnel, but it was found by TC Callahan in Season One. Krista Bell-Hart kissed him, unknowing of his homosexuality, and he tells Krista and TC that he is gay. Drew’s boyfriend Rick arrives in the ER following a bus accident, and TC reassures him by kissing him in front of the staff and Rick’s unit members.
Rick arrives with a sprained ankle in “Shock to the Heart,” and urges Krista not to tell him. Drew takes control and aspirates Rick’s seroma, prompting Rick to end his relationship with Drew. Drew attends a promotion for his friend, Staff Sergeant Javier Luis Castro, in “Parenthood,” and gets shot by him.
Drew sees a news program about his efforts in “Aftermath,” but becomes annoyed when nurses try to praise him. He apologizes for a photo of him and Rick and has a terrible encounter with a patient who does not want to be treated by a gay doctor. Rick, who flew in after hearing about the news reports, wants to get back together with Drew, but only if Drew doesn’t hide their relationship in public.
