Benji Madden is a musician from the United States. He is the lead guitarist and backup vocalist for the band Good Charlotte, for which he has won several awards. Madden formed Good Charlotte with his twin brother Joel in 1996.

In September 2000, his band released their debut album, ‘Good Charlotte,’ which won multiple awards and helped them gain recognition. Benji and his brother worked with their band as co-producers and writers. As they gained recognition, they began collaborating with other artists such as Hilary Duff, Kalin, and Myles. They wrote the hit song “Amnesia” for the band “5 Seconds of Summer” and sang backup vocals for a variety of other artists. The three brothers collaborated on a popular mixtape titled ‘The Madden Brothers: Before Volume 1’ in 2011. Benji has also appeared as a guest musician with the band ‘Taintstick’ and as a judge on the TV show ‘The Voice Australia’ in 2012.

Madden and his brothers Joel and Josh founded the Made Clothing clothing line in 2001. It was renamed DCMA Collective in early 2006. On March 15, 2008, a DCMA Collective store opened in Los Angeles, but it later closed.  Madden competed in a boxing match against MTV and VH1 host Riki Rachtman at Ellismania 5: Get These Brawls on April 3, 2010. Jason Ellis hosted the event at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Madden knocked out Rachtman 1 minute and 42 seconds into the first round. On November 11, 2011, Madden and his brother Joel Madden released “The Madden Brothers: Before Volume 1,” a free mixtape.

Following the example of the Dutch The Voice of Holland and The Voice Kids Holland editions, in which the singer’s duo Nick & Simon appeared as a judging duo between 2010 and 2015, both of the Madden brothers appeared as coaches on The Voice Kids Australia in a double chair in mid-2014. Benji joined Joel as a coach on the main edition of The Voice in early 2015, bringing the total number of coaches to five. Madden and his two brothers formally launched MDDN, of which Benji is CEO, in 2015, offering artist management, artist development, and creative services. The brothers quickly became successful, taking over management of Jessie J, Sleeping with Sirens, Hollywood Undead, Waterparks, Anti-Flag, Chase Atlantic, and K Camp.
