Barbi was then promoted to become co-host on two episodes of a popular talk show. Benton revealed that Hugh Hefner, who was 42 at the time, asked her out on a date when she was almost twenty. She’d never dated older men before. They eventually began an intimate relationship that lasted several years. Benton was hired as the Playboy Enterprise’s main model while she was still in a relationship with Hugh.
Their relationship attracted a lot of attention across the world in the early 1970s and 1980s. As of 2021, Barbi is a retired playboy model, singer, and songwriter. Her relationship with Hugh ended a long time ago and she is now married to her husband, George Gradow. Barbi kicked off her career as a singer by dropping her first-ever single back in 1975 titled Staying Power.
