The film was based on EL Doctorow’s short story ‘Jolene: A Life,’ and it was about a teenage orphan and her travel experiences. Avi played the 7-month-old version of ‘Brad Benton,’ who was born into a wealthy family. Asher sang the five-year-old version of “Brad.” Avi’s maternal grandfather, Riva Yares, a prominent figure in the Scottsdale art world, co-produced the film.
Avi did not work on any projects after his first film appearance. Instead, he concentrated on his studies and worked hard to improve his acting abilities. In 2017, he received his next acting assignment. Avi appeared in the 2017 miniseries Crossroads’ as ‘Ivan.’
He appeared in ‘Lightning Bug,’ one of the show’s episodes.
