Peeples was cast as the lead character in Jem and the Holograms, a romantic musical fantasy comedy-drama film based on the 1980s television show of the same name, in 2014. Peeples co-starred in the criminal thriller Rage with Nicolas Cage the same year. Indiewire called Peeples one of the top actors under the age of twenty in September 2014.
