Argota’s debut acting role came in the independent film Schooled, which was released in 2007. Argota was cast in the Nickelodeon comedy television series True Jackson, VP in 2008, as Lulu, True Jackson’s best friend. As a singer, Argota has two independent albums: Dreams Come True (2006)[9] and Ashley (2007). In 2011, Argota was cast as Kelly, the female lead in another Nickelodeon comedy series, Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures. On July 5, 2012, Argota confirmed that Nickelodeon had discontinued Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures. She also appeared in a Nickelodeon celebrity episode of the show BrainSurge, when she lost in a Sudden Death round to Jerry Trainor.
She returned in 2011 with other Nickelodeon celebs and won. Argota intended to attend New York University in 2011 and major in nursing. Argota was cast as the leads’ school rival in the 2014 Disney Channel Original Movie How to Build a Better Boy in the summer of 2013,. In December 2013, she appeared as the Princess in the Pasadena Playhouse production of Aladdin and His Winter Wish.
