Tony Denison, an award-winning actor, joined the cast of The Closer, starring Kyra Sedgwick, as Det. Andy Flynn in 2005, and the show quickly became TNT’s number-one drama. Lt. Flynn is a fan favorite who transitioned to the spin-off series Major Crimes. He is known for his antics opposite GW Bailey’s Lt. Provenza and for his character’s rumored romance with Mary McDonnell’s Capt. Sharon Raydor, which fans refer to as #Shandy. Denison has received a Prism Award for Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series from the Entertainment Industry Council, as well as five SAG nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

He is committed to assisting others whenever possible and donates his free time to The Sunshine Kids Foundation, which grants the wishes of chronically ill and physically challenged children.
