Murrow Award in Investigative Reporting in 2007 for her story about Jordaan Clarke, an infant who suffered prolonged oxygen deprivation after successful heart surgery at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) hospital, resulting in permanent and profound brain damage. According to Canzano’s research, OHSU receives rare and exceptional governmental protection that limits malpractice damages to $200,000 per occurrence, a luxury not widely available to other entities in Oregon, according to records obtained by the reporter.

Canzano, started working as a reporter for KATU in 1999 before becoming one of the station’s regular weekend news anchors in 2003. She remained in that job until December 2016, when she announced on-air and via Twitter that she would be relocating to another Portland television station. In January 2017, KOIN announced that it has hired Canzano from KATU. Canzano appeared as a news reporter in the Peacock television series The Girl in the Woods, which was produced by Crypt TV.
