She won her first of two Emmy Awards for breaking news coverage of an armed robbery and carjacking in Orlando by a murderer in 1995. She won a second Emmy in 2000 for her performance in a New Year’s Eve Millennium celebration piece for WMAQ Channel 5 in Chicago.
