From 1980-to 1981, he taught law at Delaware Law School for a brief period. He served on the New Jersey Supreme Court from 1987 to 1995, becoming the state’s youngest serving Supreme Court justice at the time. He was also an adjunct lecturer at Seton Hall University School of Law for 11 years, from 1989 to 2000. He was a visiting lecturer at Brooklyn Law School from 2013 to 2017. Before joining FNC in 1998, Judge Napolitano served on the New Jersey Supreme Court and was the youngest life-tenured Superior Court judge in the state’s history. While on the court from 1987 to 1995, he tried over 150 jury trials and sat in all parts of the Superior Court. He worked at Seton Hall Law School as an adjunct professor of constitutional law for 11 years, where he taught constitutional law and jurisprudence.
Judge Napolitano returned to private practice in 1995 and began broadcasting on television the following year.
