Koppel was CNN’s Congressional correspondent until August 2007. She had previously served as the network’s State Department correspondent from 1998 to October 2006. Koppel began working for CNN as a Tokyo correspondent in 1993, and he was promoted to Beijing Bureau Chief in 1995.
