Benigni is an American journalist presently working as a Sports Director and fill-in news anchor for WGRZ-TV in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Adam spent five years as a sports anchor and reporter at WSTM-TV, the NBC affiliate in Syracuse, before joining WGRZ. During his tenure in Central New York, he also worked as a radio color commentator for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. Since July of 1997, Adam has been with 2-On-Your-Side. Lindy Ruff was introduced as the Sabres’ new head coach on his first day on the job. Benigni has covered everything from the Bills and the NFL to the Sabres’ repeated playoff campaigns and a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1999 throughout his time in Buffalo.

Adam joined the team as a weekend anchor and now hosts the nightly sportscasts from Sunday through Thursday. When the primary talent is unavailable, he hosts Sports Talk Sunday and anchors weekday evening news. After Ed Kilgore’s retirement in 2013, Benigni, who has been with the station since 1997, served as the station’s Sports Director. Benigni temporarily filled in at the anchor desk after Scott Levin left the station earlier this year. Furthermore, he left that interim position in September 2017. He’s the third local sportscaster to go to news full-time (or part-time). WKBW-Jeff TV’s Russo made the crossover in 2015, and Spectrum News’ Andy Young became a sports/news reporter in mid-2017.
