During the 1990s, Freeman hosted the weekly instructional radio show Metropolis, which aired in the Midwest. He also contributes to NPR’s flagship news show, All Things Considered. The Arab/Israeli Comedy Hour is a stage comedy written and directed by Freeman. As a stand-up comedian, he is a member of the Israeli/Palestinian Comedy Tour four. Freeman has appeared with The Second City and the Second City Theater. He co-created the long-running political and financial comedy Do the White Thing and its sequel Gentlemen Prefer Bonds with long-time friend and collaborator Rob Kolson. In 1983, Freeman wrote and performed the parody Council Wars, which was based on the Chicago City Council during the mayorship of Harold Washington. He presented the television chat show Talking with Aaron Freeman for ten years. Later, he anchored and served as the main science correspondent for Chicago Public Television’s science and technology show Chicago Tomorrow. Freeman travels the country doing his one-man shows News Today/Comedy Tonight and Kosher Chitterlings for corporate groups, Jewish groups, colleges, and associations. As a stand-up comedian, he is a member of the Israeli/Palestinian Comedy Tour four. Freeman has appeared with The Second City and the Second City Theater.
