Tom Ellis Rush

He appeared as Dr. William P. Rush in the American medical drama series Rush.

Storyline

The series follows a hard-partying Los Angeles doctor who caters to a very specific clientele: the kind with a lot of money and a lot of secrets. After Dr. William Rush was fired from a prominent L.A. hospital, he decided to start his own practice. He then transitioned into “concierge” medicine, making personal visits to the homes and offices of wealthy clientele and Hollywood celebrities who want his services, frequently without question. Rush requires financial payments in advance, frequently in the thousands of dollars. However, some of that money goes to support his drug habit, and one of the show’s characters, Manny Maquis, is his drug supplier. Dr. Alex Burke, his best friend, is still practicing medicine at a major hospital and trying to be a good husband and father, unlike Rush. Eve Parker is Rush’s personal assistant, who not only schedules Rush’s medical appointments but also tries to keep him on track despite her knowledge of his drug and alcohol addiction.

Tom Ellis The Fades

He was cast as Mark Etches, Sarah’s husband, and Paul’s history teacher in the British supernatural drama television series The Fades.

Storyline

Apocalyptic dreams plague Paul, a student with a history of bedwetting. He can see dead people’s spirits, known as The Fades, everywhere around him. The Fades cannot be seen, smelled, heard, or touched by other humans; they are the remains of humans who have died but were unable to ascend due to the closing of ascension points on Earth, and only a few people can pass through those that remain open. As a result, the Fades who remain on Earth have become enraged and spiteful toward humanity, and have devised a technique to reclaim part of their humanity and recover control of touch in the actual world. Except for a select handful, such as Paul, they go unnoticed in the world. They are only visible to a select few, such as Paul, known as “Angelics” and can discern the Fades. Paul is drawn into a battle between the Angelics and the Fades, attempting to prevent the Fades from regaining physical form and annihilating humanity.

Tom Ellis Miranda

He was cast as Gary Preston, a handsome, friendly chef; an old university friend of Miranda in the British television sitcom Miranda.

Storyline

Despite the fact that they’ve always been attracted to each other, neither has pursued it until he starts working at the restaurant next to Miranda’s shop. Despite being perplexed by Miranda’s behavior, Gary finds her kind, open personality endearing, especially because she is always willing to assist him. Gary is more confident and worldly than Miranda, but he shares her uncertainty in romantic settings, and he and Miranda occasionally get themselves into unusual situations together, such as pretending to have sons named “Cliff” and “Richard” when confronted by a customer in the shop. He’s one of the few people who accept Miranda for who she really is. Miranda accepts herself in the last episode and goes to what she believes is Gary’s wedding. She realizes that running away is unnecessary, and she marries Gary at Clive’s celebration. Miranda marries her ex-boss, Clive, after Gary confesses he has already decided he loves her and proposes to elope. Gary breaks up with Rose in series three due to her inability to accept Miranda.
