Storyline

Storyline

They beg him to assist them with unfinished personal matters. Bertram agrees to break up an engagement between Frank’s widow Gwen, a professional Egyptologist, and Richard, a human-rights lawyer if Frank promises to keep the other ghosts away. Gwen falls in love with Bertram, but she finds out about Frank’s mistress on the day he dies. Bertram realizes Frank is unable to leave because Gwen has refused to let him go. He confronts her, who asks him to question Frank about why she wasn’t enough for him. Bertram tells Gwen that Frank apologizes for hurting her. She is perplexed that after his infidelity, all Frank has to say is sorry,’ and believes Bertram is mocking her. He rushes after her and, ironically, is hit by a bus while trying to persuade her to believe him.
