David Duchovny The X-Files

He appeared as Fox Mulder an Oxford-educated FBI special agent who believes in the existence of extraterrestrials and a government conspiracy to hide the truth regarding them in the American science fiction drama television series The X-Files.

Storyline

He is also adamant about the existence and presence of intelligent extraterrestrial life on Earth. This set of beliefs earns him the moniker “Spooky Mulder” and an assignment to the X-Files, a little-known department that deals with unsolved cases. His faith in the paranormal stems from the alleged kidnapping of his sister Samantha Mulder by extraterrestrials when Mulder was 12 years old. Mulder is obsessed with her kidnapping for the majority of the series. Mulder struggles to maintain objectivity in his investigations as a result of this, as well as more nebulous desires for vindication and the revelation of truths kept hidden by human authorities. Scully is a medical doctor who is also a natural skeptic. She is initially partnered with Mulder in order to debunk Mulder’s nonconforming theories. She grows dissatisfied with her own ability to approach cases scientifically. Several episodes also deal with Mulder and Scully’s platonic relationship, which later develops romantically.

David Duchovny Californication

He appeared as Henry James “Hank” Moody, an erratic but esteemed writer who frequently becomes embroiled in bizarre, scandalous situations in the American comedy-drama television series Californication.

Storyline

One reviewer compares Moody’s character to writer Charles Bukowski. His daughter, Becca, observes in the fourth season that he acts like a “poor man’s Bukowski.” Similarly, his girlfriend Karen refers to him as Bukowski in a flashback scene from the night they met. The semi-biographical Henry ‘Hank’ Chinaski, who was also an alcoholic writer struggling in Los Angeles, was Charles Bukowski’s main creation. The X-Files is a television series in the United States starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are FBI Special Agents who work on cold cases. Mulder is a firm believer in the supernatural, especially after his sister was abducted by extraterrestrials. Scully is a medical doctor and a natural skeptic who attempts to disprove Mulder’s theories. Mulder is abducted by aliens and escapes from a military tribunal at the end of the series. The show is one of the most popular television shows of all time.

David Duchovny Aquarius

He appeared as Sam Hodiak, a fictional LAPD detective investigating the case of a missing teenage girl named Emma Karn in the American period crime drama television series Aquarius.

Storyline

Emma Karn sneaks out of her Beverly Hills home to go to a party with her bogus boyfriend Rick Zondervan. She is separated by a group of girls at the party and is told by another partygoer that she can survive without her boyfriend or father. Emma’s mother Grace calls her former boyfriend, LAPD Hollywood division detective Sam Hodiak, the next day. Sam, Brian, and Art are investigating a murder in South Central’s now-black neighborhood. The investigation focuses on Bunchy Carter, the Black Panthers’ leader. Rick confesses to Sam and Brian that he told Art Brian was a cop.
