(COGIC) denomination. He had the musical ability as a child. He sang with his brothers, Bishop C.L. Morton Jr., Bishop James H. Morton, and the lesser-known, George Morton, and became well-known in the United States. He was also the founder of the Junior Progressives, a young singing group, and the director of his father’s church’s Youth Choir.
