Lee Anne Wong Education
Wong was raised in Wynantskill, New York, a small hamlet in Rensselaer County just west of Albany. She began her academic studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she studied fashion design, but then went to The French Culinary Institute (now the International Culinary Center) to study professional cookery.

She was one of the final four finalists on Bravo’s Top Chef’s first season in 2006. She continued to hold the position of Executive Chef of Event Operations at The French Culinary Institute while competing in Top Chef. She also appeared as a commentator on Unique Eats on the Cooking Channel from 2010 to 2013. She also served as the chef consultant for the American remake of the German film Mostly Martha, which was released in 2007, and it was called No Reservations.
Wong attended a tasting benefit held by New York Loves Japan and Project by Project to raise money for earthquake relief efforts in Japan in 2011. Wong made an appearance on Iron Chef America in 2011 (season 10, episode 1), where the secret ingredient was Halloween candy; With a score of 52–51, Chef Wong beat Iron Chef Marc Forgione to victory.
In 2013, Wong relocated to Honolulu, Hawai’i, following a brief move to Maui. She opened the well-known brunch spot Koko Head Cafe in 2014 and continued to operate it. In addition, Wong joined the culinary staff of Hawaiian Airlines in 2015 and was promoted to executive chef in 2018.
