Because she received a tape recorder in fourth grade, that’s where she learned how to write and interview people. She attended the University of Pittsburgh. She chose downtown Pittsburgh because she wanted to be close to her family. It’s called Point Park University; it used to be named Point Park College, and she chose it after a recommendation from one of her high school English teachers. She claimed that they offer a strong journalism department, therefore she majored in journalism and communications with a focus on broadcasting. That’s where she got her start in television and broadcasting, followed by an internship at one of Pittsburgh’s local stations.

Juliet also serves as the station spokesperson for WZZM 13’s “Friends for Life” initiative, which encourages women to perform monthly breast self-exams to detect breast cancer early. She started the “Friends for Life” campaign in 1997 and has been the emcee and honorary co-chair of the “Race for the Cure” for more than 15 years.
She also volunteers for Special Olympics Michigan, the Brain Injury Association of Michigan, the American Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life,” the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan, and Catholic Charities West Michigan, among others. She is especially passionate about causes that benefit West Michigan families.
Juliet is now the Vice Chair of the Special Olympics Michigan Board of Directors. She was a member of the American Red Cross Blood Services Division – Great Lakes Region board of directors. Juliet was nominated for an Emmy Award for her performance as a news anchor by the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences in 2013. Juliet was honored into her high school’s Alumni Hall of Fame in Western Pennsylvania in 2009. She’s been nominated for the “Athena Award,” which honors women who support and mentor other women in their careers.
She’s also received the “Professionalism Award” from American Women in Radio and Television, the “Local Hero Award” from Grand Rapids Komen for the Cure, the “Outstanding Media Award” from Special Olympics Michigan twice, and was recently honored by the “Brain Injury Association of Michigan” for her many years of volunteer work in raising awareness of patients and families affected by brain injuries. Juliet has been recognized in publications such as “Outstanding Young Women of America” and “Who’s Who.” Juliet is a native of Pittsburgh and a die-hard NFL fan, particularly of the Steelers and Lions.
