She emanates a deep, enigmatic movie-star chill, but she can’t stop herself from taking risks, both with the squad and in her personal life.
Coach French and her husband, Matt, have relocated to Sutton Grove. Initially, it was thought that they came to Sutton Grove because Matt was promised a position by a wealthy guy named Bert Cassidy. It is later revealed that they came here because Colette is an excellent cheerleading coach and Bert wanted her to teach his daughters’ high school cheer team.
Colette starts a relationship with an old blooming romance, Sarge Will, over the season. They began an affair, which Add and Beth discovered. Matt is unaware of the relationship. She becomes increasingly guilty and terminates the relationship before Regionals.

In the television series Scream, she played the protagonist character Emma Duval. Emma Duval, the main protagonist of the original Scream television series, is a naive and innocent adolescent who grows into a watchful and clever young woman. She is the primary target of the Lakewood Slasher and the Shallow Grove Slasher in the first two seasons of MTV. Emma Duval is the second child of town coroner Margaret “Maggie” Duval and her father, Kevin Duval, both survivors of suspected serial killer Brandon James.
Emma becomes a true-crime hero when she defeats the second Lakewood murderer, Piper Shaw, who is revealed to be her secret-half sister and 20-year-old Autopsy of a Crime podcaster. After overcoming Piper, Emma goes on a three-month mental health retreat away from Lakewood, putting an end to the murders.
Emma is persuaded to leave Lakewood by her friends Noah Foster and Gustavo Acosta, as well as by Tom Martin, who murders the heir to the Whitten mansion on the island. Tom psychologically tortures Emma and her friends by using their jealously and resentment. Emma and her pals return to Lakewood after putting an end to the perpetrator’s delusory spree, graduating from George Washington High School in May-June 2017.
