Kay returned to BBC Radio after a nine-year absence to fill in for Rylan Clark on his BBC Radio 2 show Rylan Clark. Saturday, February 6 and 13, 2021, as well as June 12 and 26 and July 3rd. In 2013, after Channel 4 recovered the NFL freedoms from the BBC, Kay was reported as a moderator of The American Football Show, circulating on Saturday mornings. Kay has appeared as a guest host on five episodes of The One Show since 2014. In 2015, Vernon started introducing daytime test show, 1000 Pulses for ITV. November 2015 marked the show’s return for a second season. Kay hosted ITV’s five-part entertainment series Drive in 2016. In the second season of The Keith Lemon Sketch Show, which aired on ITV2, he made frequent appearances.
Kay and Kirsty Gallacher co-hosted The Hero Challenge on Sky Sports in July 2017. Kay hosted the non-broadcast pilot for a revival of Bruce Forsyth’s game show Play Your Cards Right, which was not picked up for a series.
