He appeared as Diego Rueda, who belongs to the Churi Kanay tribe in the telenovela-formatted teen sitcom Every Witch Way. He has the ability to freeze humans with his bare hands! In Season Three, he becomes close to Michael Burset. Kian Silva played him as a youngster, and Tyler Alvarez as a teenager. In Gloria’s flashback, he is initially seen as a young child, played by Kian Silva. Benito’s father’s whereabouts are unknown. He was reared by Gloria’s current lover Arturo, who physically assaulted her and accidently hit Benito. Arturo perished in a fire not long after Gloria was arrested.
He now lives with Gloria’s aunt, Lourdes, in the present. A few years later, on Mother’s Day, his brother Julio pays a visit to their mother and informs her that Benito and Lourdes had a large quarrel about Benito being suspended from school. During the visit, Lourdes informs Gloria that Benito is becoming increasingly aggressive and violent. This makes Benito giggle, which enrages Gloria, and she demands that Benito pay her a visit every week and bring his homework with him so that they may complete it together. Lourdes informs Gloria that she will no longer be able to drive him to the prison on a regular basis, so Gloria strikes a deal with Sophia to bring Benito when her son and wife visit her. Gloria becomes irritated on the next visit because Benito doesn’t care about his studies because he believes he has no other option except to go to jail. At the same time, Sophia’s kid, Michael, begins using curse words, which he acquired from Benito in the car on the way to the prison. Benito finds it amusing, but Sophia is upset with Gloria for not regulating her son and threatens to stop bringing Benito if Gloria does not act. Later, he becomes embroiled in a fight started by Michael with another boy he calls “faggy,” but flees.
