Tony Sam is an American stand-up comedian, writer, and actor who started doing stand-up in Chicago around 2003. In 2014, Stand Up! Records released his debut comedy album, Scaredy Cat.

Scaredy Cat, Sam’s debut album, was recorded on May 24, 2014, at Acme Comedy Company in Minneapolis and released later that year on Stand Up! Records. Many well-known comedians, such as Kyle Kinane, Michelle Buteau, The Sklar Brothers, Beth Stelling, Jason Nash, Brooks Wheelan, a former cast member of Saturday Night Live, Brody Stevens, and Eddie Pepitone, gave it positive reviews and praise. Jake Krueger of The Comedy Bureau, based in Los Angeles, called the album one of the best of 2014, noting that it “strikes a genuine silliness and unfiltered candor.” Ed Placencia of the website Comedy Reviews stated, “Sam gleefully adds a touch of fun and whimsy to each of his bits.
