Robbins began his career as a promoter of Jim Rohn’s motivational seminars. Jim Rohn was a motivational author, speaker, and entrepreneur. Jim Rohn explained to him that happiness and success are determined by what one does with the resources available in his or her life. Jim inspired Robbins to start life coaching. After receiving training from the co-founder of NPL, he began teaching neuro-linguistic programming (NPL) and Ericksonian hypnosis. In 1983, he began incorporating firewalking into his seminars after learning it from Tolly Burkan, the father of the global firewalking movement. Robbins’ popularity grew when he began selling his programs through books and TV infomercials. He became well-known as a “peak performance coach” and received a lot of attention.
In 1987, his first major book, ‘Unlimited Power,’ was published. It covers subjects like health and energy, overcoming fears, persuasive communication, and improving personal relationships. Although the book was a best-seller in the United States, its originality was questioned. ‘Awaken the Giant Within,’ Robbins’ next big book, was published in 1991. While attempting to provide his readers with personal development techniques, he used his own technique, ‘Neuro-Associative Conditioning.’ ‘Giant Steps’ (1994) and ‘Notes from a Friend (1996) followed (1995). The ‘Anthony Robbins Foundation’ was founded in 1991 with the goal of empowering students and prisoners through food drives and learning programs based on Robbins’ teachings.
