Sircar’s parents are both college professors from Kolkata, India. Her mother used to be a dancer. She also served as Sircar’s first dance instructor and choreographer. Sircar played “the real Eleanor Shellstrop,” a virtuous woman mistakenly sent to hell in place of the series’ protagonist, another Eleanor Shellstrop, in the 2016 comedy television series The Good Place (Kristen Bell). Later episodes feature her as Vicky, a demon who participates in Eleanor’s eternal torture. Sircar began starring opposite Zach Braff in ABC’s Alex, Inc. in 2018. The show was canceled after only one season. Sircar went on to star in the Netflix feature film Good Sam in 2019.
