Tim Career
He worked in the Chicago film industry before starting his acting career. Harmston began performing stand-up comedy in 2002 and won the funniest person award in the Twin Cities competition at the Minneapolis comedy club Acme in 2003. Most Bees Ever album supported by Stand Up! 2014 was a record year. Critic Richard Lanoy of the website Big Comedy called the album “a stand-up comedy product with many special features.” Chris Spector of Midwest Records said Harmston was “like a modern-day Steven Wright”. A follow-up album and video, titled The Whim of Tim, were released in 2020. He came up with the idea for the award-winning online movie “Chadved: The Day Manager”. He competed on Last Comic Standing in 2014, and has performed on The Late Show With David Letterman and Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham. Star Tribune critic Jay Boller wrote that Harmston combines “the cadence of Brian Regan and the observational absurdism of Jim Gaffigan.” He has released two albums on Stand Up! Records, The Most Bees Ever and The Whim of Tim.
