Drawbridge began his career at WVNY in Burlington, Vermont, in late 1993. After a year, Tim was headed to Central Kentucky and WLEX. He spent three years forecasting the weather and dealing with the severe weather problems that plagued the Bluegrass State. For his extreme weather participation, he was selected and designated as a Kentucky Colonel by an official from the previous National Weather Service Lexington office. He was supposed to be on WSYM in Lansing, Michigan, where he kept running into Coach Tom Izzo, and he was supposed to make his first public appearance at a charity softball game.
Tim relocated to WZVN in Fort Myers, Florida, in early 2002 to enjoy the sunshine while working on complex subjects like sea wind fronts and tropical meteorology. After working for Capital News 9 (now Time Warner Cable / Spectrum News) and YNN (now Time Warner Cable / Spectrum News), Tim returned to the Capital Region in September 2003. He was known as the “weekend warrior” at WNYT before joining NEWS10, where he did double shifts on weekends for many years. Tim had the opportunity to “call” a lot of high school football games alongside Rick Harrington on FOX Sports 1230. Tim and Rick joined the Queensbury Spartans at The Dome in pursuit of their State Championships in 2013 and 2014.
