Tim Daly Madam Secretary

He was cast as Henry McCord, Elizabeth’s husband of 25 years and now First Gentleman of the United States in the American political drama television series Madam Secretary.

Storyline

His unique combination of skills, as a theology professor and a former Marine captain/aviator during Operation Desert Storm, is sought after by the National Security Agency, which employs him as an operative in combating religious extremism. At the end of Season 3, Henry is appointed Director of the CIA’s Special Operations Division.

Madam Secretary’s first five seasons follow Secretary Elizabeth McCord through her life as the determined Secretary of State. She steers international diplomacy, contends with office politics, and, when necessary, deviates from protocol as she negotiates global issues. The show also focuses on the personal lives of the characters. McCord declares her candidacy for president at the end of the fifth season. We learn at the start of the sixth season that she has won the election, and the rest of the series follows her as America’s first female president.

Tim Daly Hot in Cleveland

He appeared as Mitch Turner, Joy’s new boss after he takes over the detective agency from Bob in the American television sitcom Hot in Cleveland. He later becomes Joy’s boyfriend.

Storyline

Melanie, Joy, and Victoria are three aging entertainment industry veterans from Los Angeles, California. The three women find a more welcoming and less shallow, less youth-obsessed community in Cleveland, Ohio, where their Paris-bound plane makes an emergency landing, as seen in the pilot episode. They decide to stay and rent a house where the sassy caretaker Elka still lives in the guest house.

Tim Daly The Sopranos

He was cast as Joe Hackett, (Joseph Montgomery Hackett), a highly responsible, compulsively neat pilot who owns the one-plane airline Sandpiper Air on Nantucket Island in the American sitcom television series Wings.

Storyline

Joe is usually the series’s straight man and the nice guy. As a child, he wished to be a pilot, and he became the de facto patriarch of the Hackett family after their mother vanished, causing their father to go insane and be institutionalized. He had planned to launch Sandpiper Air with his fiancée Carol behind the ticket counter, but his brother Brian abducted her prior to the series premiere, causing a schism between the brothers. Joe is portrayed in the show as an avid sports fan, cheering on the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, New England Patriots, and Boston Celtics. He grew up playing baseball and football, and he was a member of both varsity teams in high school. Joe graduated from Boston College and stated that he was a member of a fraternity, but he never stated which one. Joe fell in love with his childhood friend Helen Chapell.
