She appeared as Layla Williamson on the American daytime soap opera One Life to Live. In 2005, Layla moved to Llanview from Los Angeles, California. She was employed as a waiter at Antonio Vega’s Restaurant Capricorn, where she befriended him during the Killing Club murderer’s reign. Antonio was battling R.J. Gannon for custody of his daughter Jamie, as Gannon had gained custody through Antonio’s girlfriend Jessica Buchanan. Layla persuaded RJ to give up on the charade and they kept showing up together.
Later, Layla got a job at Buchanan Enterprises and started dating Vincent Jones, the boxing manager of Cristian Vega, the boyfriend of Layla’s sister Evangeline Williamson. After Tate Harmon, a former baseball star, was hired to model the male underwear collection, they co-founded the fashion brand Exposed. When Evangeline suffered a racial gas attack and fell into a coma, Layla was distraught. Vincent and her reconciled, although Tate was the one responsible for the racial insults. Before Tate could do any fatal damage to the group, Talia Sahid, a police officer, came to their aid.

Chuck tells Nate what Russell told him, and together they discover that Avery was in the building when it caught fire.
Chuck is Nate’s first choice, but after finding out that Blair is engaged to Louis Grimaldi, he ends up picking Raina. Raina summons his uncle Jack Bass to return to the city as payback. In Shattered Bass, Jack joins forces with Nate and Chuck to defeat Russell, and Raina discovers that it was Russell—not Bart—who abandoned Avery to die. Chuck gives Russell the command to leave New York and never come back in return.
Raina severs all relations with her father in an effort to save Chuck. Blair is abducted by Russell, who then intends to burn her at Chuck’s new hotel. But in an attempt to save herself, she phones Raina, Chuck, and Nate; Raina even forgives him for killing her mother.
The Haves and the Have Nots
She portrays Candace Young, the antiheroine on the drama in Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots. In the premiere episode, The Big Surprise, viewers are first introduced to Candace as an escort named Candy. She is first seen stepping out of judge Jim Cryer’s bed after engaging in a sexual experience.
Throughout the first season, Candace continues her affair with Jim by pretending to be a law student and going to school with Jim’s daughter Amanda. Pretending to be particularly intrigued by Jim’s cases helps her hide the affair and keeps the two of them hidden from prying eyes. Unaware of the two, Wyatt, Jim’s son, accidentally finds out about the affair. He doesn’t tell anybody about it directly, but he does subtly suggest that he thinks Candace prefers to date “older men”—his father, in this case.
After growing uncomfortable with Candace’s presence at the estate, Hanna, the newest maid for the Cryers, eventually tells her friend and fellow maid Celine Gonzales that although Candace is her daughter, the two have been estranged for a long time. Hanna is inconsolable and believes her daughter is not being honest.
Candace demands a big sum of money and a car as payment when she blackmails Jim, threatening to make headlines if he breaks up with her. Jim consents, gives in to Candace’s demands with the assistance of his friend David Harrington, and then feels secure in the knowledge that she has left his life. However, Veronica, David’s wife, believes he is having an affair with Candace and confronts her after finding evidence of David delivering Candace’s new car.
