In 2011, he had a recurring role as Danté Young on the BET comedy-drama The Game. Jenkins took over as co-anchor of E! News on September 4, 2012, after Ryan Seacrest left.
Jenkins acted as Michael Hanover in the romantic comedy Think Like A Man (2012), which made $96 million worldwide. He repeated his role as Michael Hanover in the film’s sequel, Think Like a Man Too (2014), which debuted at number one in the box office and earned $29.2 million. The picture grossed $70.2 million at the global box office, against a $24 million budget. He also appears in the movies Sparkle (2012), Baggage Claim (2013), Battle of the Year (2013), and Entourage (2015). Jenkins got the lead part of Charlie “Mack” McIntyre in the romantic comedy film The Perfect Match (2016), staring Cassie Ventura.
From 2016 to 2017, Jenkins and Julianne Hough co-hosted the Miss USA beauty pageant. HarperCollins published his debut book, “The Wealth of My Mother’s Wisdom” on October 1, 2013. The book was motivated by the teachings his mother taught him and her incredible adventure of raising Jenkins while she was still a teenager. Jenkins has been hosting MTV’s reality television series Are You the One? since its sixth season in 2017.
