Ganzel was a regular on “The Tonight Show” starring Johnny Carson and played the female lead in the “Midnight Tea Movie” sketch. She frequently played blondes, including the greedy Gretchen in the episode “Lies My Roommate Tells Me” (1981) of Three Companies, the National Lampoon film Madness (1982) opposite Jackie Gleeson and Lee Chad Pryor in the film “Toys” (1982) and the Married…with Children film “Three Jobs, No Money” (1989).
In 1984, Ganzel played another young and dumb blonde, Sheree Winkler, in the short-lived sitcom Duck Factory, which introduced Jim Carrey to American audiences. She also famously appeared in the pilot episode of the game show Money in the Blank (1987).
Ganzel has had many speaking roles in cartoons, animated films and television series, including Cow & Chicken, Emperor’s New School, Monsters, Inc., Goofy and Ah! Real monsters, dwarves and Horton hears who! She made her voice-over debut as Kitty Glitter on the television series Top Cat and Beverly Hills Cats. In the 1990s, Ganzel voiced Mrs. Wawum in the revival of Little Red Riding Hood on Tom, Jerry, and Drooby. In 2010, Ganzel played the title role in the Off-Broadway production of Viagara Falls (2010), having previously played the same role as Jacqueline Tempest in another production of the same city. Ganzel appeared on Ken Reid’s TV Advisor Podcast on April 20, 2016.
