Aftermoving to Los Angeles, he featured in various television and commercial roles. In 2001, he appeared in ‘Shadow Fury,’ a television film. He landed a voice role in ‘Rugrats Go Wild’ after the brief success of ‘Shadow Fury.’ Following that, he appeared in ‘The Bernie Mac Show,’ ‘My Wife and Kids,’ and ‘Summerland.’ He then returned to voicing characters in films such as ‘Danny Phantom,’ ‘Duck Dodgers,’ and landed modeling jobs. Adam Shankman cast him as ‘Elliot Murtaugh’ in the film ‘Cheaper by the Dozen 2.’ His first breakthrough performance was in the film ‘The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D’ in 2005.
