She was also the producer of the 5:30 p.m. ET sportscast at WTVJ-TV in Miami during this time, a position she held from 1985 to 1989. She worked as a freelance specials producer for Miami’s WPLG-TV. She was also a producer on two magazine shows: ‘Greyhound Racing America’ in Miami, Florida (1988-1990) and ‘Cowboys Special Edition’ in Irving, Texas (1990–91). She became even busier as a sportscaster in 1991. She worked as a reporter and producer for the Greenwich, Connecticut-based Breeders’ Cup Newsfeed; as an on-field producer for ‘Inside Edition’ in New York City; as a sports specials producer for WCIX-TV in Miami; and as a producer and director for NFL Films.

She worked at WPEC-TV in West Palm Beach, Florida, as a weekend sports anchor and a weekday feature reporter.
She left her job at WPEC-TV in 1993 to join ESPN. She was one of the first anchors on ESPN2 when it debuted on October 1, that year. She covered ESPN’s ‘Extreme Games’ in 1995 and 1996. She has also worked as a reporter on College GameDay and has hosted SportsCenter and NASCAR Countdown. She left ESPN in November 1996 for a position at Fox Sports. One of her first jobs with the channel was hosting ‘Fox Sports News’ for the Fox Sports Net, which was a new network at the time. Her other responsibilities included covering NFL games.

In 1998, she appeared on ‘NFL on Fox’ with Pat Summerall and John Madden for one game. During the 1999 season, she also served as the studio host for ‘NHL on Fox’. She returned to ESPN in 1999.
