He worked in media and broadcasting at Serbian Radio and Television, Trecan Channel and RTV Studio B in Belgrade, Serbia, between 1991 and 1992. After college, Le Mignot joined Chicago radio station WBBM as a reporter and broadcaster in 1994. He also briefly served as a host at WGN-AM in Chicago before rejoining WBBM in 1996. Mignot began working at WBBM-TV as a freelance reporter in 1995 and was promoted to full-time at the station in 1999 (thus retiring from WBBM Radio), becoming a reporter at WBBM-TV south of Chicago .
