Inspector Clouseau is reassigned by Chief Inspector Dreyfus to join the detectives in Japan, the scene of the Tornado’s new heist, from his position as a parking officer. The Pink Panther diamond is stolen by the “The Tornado” master robber, and a “Dream Team” of investigators is formed by the French government to solve the crime. As Clouseaux’s girlfriend, Vincenzo, and Clouseou’s girlfriend, Nicole, encounter each other at a diner, the mission is compromised. The Hurricane takes the ring of the Pope, turning public opinion against the Band of Dreams. To learn that the Tornado has killed himself, ClouseAU is called to an office, leaving a suicide note saying he had lost the Pink Panther.

Nicole, thinking that Clouseau may be right because she, too, believed Sonia, asks Sonia to clear her wallet. Sonia continued to resist and wanted to leave but under intense pressure from Nicole, who still stopped her from going. Sonia takes out a pistol, threatening to kill Nicole, and shoots his Légion d’honneur medal at Clousesau, but the bullet ricochets. With all the members of the Dream Team making fools of themselves by different accidents, a chase ensues.

He has several mishaps, including spilling water before setting the glasses down, causing the pair to repeat three times their order of “two martinis” and only delivering six martinis to them. The film culminates with the woman getting furious that she got dressed up, hired a babysitter, and was then taken out with such incredibly poor service to a restaurant. The husband is pleading with her, “Trust me… trust me.”

The waiter returns immediately afterward with their “change” worth $10,000 before the pair has paid for it. The waiter comes back to inquire, “Two for dinner?” as they gleefully get up from their seats to go, to which the wife replies immediately, “Yes, two please,” and the pair then sits at their table right back down.
