Around the time Scylla closed, Izard signed on to the fourth season of Bravo’s “Top Chef” in Chicago, which she eventually won, becoming the show’s first female winner and claiming a $100,000 prize. Izard won two “Quickfire” challenges, five elimination challenges, and finished in the top eleven out of fourteen episodes during the season. In the Puerto Rico-based finale, she chose Eric Ripert to help her prepare a four-course tasting menu for judging, which triumphed over menus offered by fellow contestants Richard Blais and Lisa Fernandes. Izard won the title of “Fan Favorite” on the Top Chef Season 4 Reunion Special, receiving a $10,000 prize in addition to her Top Chef title and prizes.
