In the National Tour of Hamilton, Solea portrays Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton. The lead character in the musical Hamilton is Elizabeth “Eliza” Hamilton, originally Schuyler. She is the mother of Philip Hamilton and seven additional children in addition to being Alexander Hamilton’s wife.
Along with her sisters Peggy and Angelica, Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton makes her stage debut in the musical as Eliza. They sing in the spirit of revolution in midtown Manhattan, singing about Alexander’s illness and that of his mother. Alexander Hamilton is among the numerous revolutionary friends that Philip Schuyler, Elizabeth’s father, invites to a dance. With her father’s approval, they eventually get married after meeting and exchanging letters.
Alexander asks General George Washington for a command and a group of men to lead in the conflict as he gets more deeply involved in the revolution. After being returned home, Eliza tells him she is expecting their first boy. Eliza reassures Alexander that it would be sufficient for her and their boy to survive the revolution, even though he is filled with excitement but still doubts himself.
Solea A Jazzman’s Blues
Pfeiffer appeared as Leanne in the 2022 American drama film A Jazzman’s Blues. Hattie Mae, who lost her son Horace John Boyd to lynching in 1947, sets out to investigate his crime in 1987. Hattie corresponds with Leanne J. Harper, a gifted vocalist who is dissuaded by her violent father.
Leanne and talented vocalist Bayou have a tense relationship despite Bayou’s love for Leanne. Bayou works at a popular juke club and is drafted into the army. After being hurt while serving, he goes back to his mother’s house to work. Bayou auditions at the Capitol Royale Club in Chicago and meets a German man named Willie Earl. However, Willie Earl informs Sheriff Jackson that Hattie Mae’s juke establishment has failed.
Bayou informs Leanne, who is now a mother of a son, that he is on his way to get her. Leanne and Bayou’s family are upset by the lynching of Bayou by a mob. Leanne’s son Jonathan comes to terms with his ancestry as a fair-skinned black man after learning he is Bayou’s grandchild.
Solea Career
At the age of four, Pfeiffer started taking violin lessons, which sparked her passion in music. She participated in middle school and high school theater shows and went to drama camps. Pfeiffer was 21 years old when Gustavo Dudamel chose her to play Maria in West Side Story at the Hollywood Bowl in 2016. She was shown YouTube footage of her acting by the artistic team of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
She received favorable reviews when she debuted on the national tour of Hamilton a year later as Eliza Hamilton in the Angelica Company production. In the 2019 New York City Center production of Evita, Pfeiffer played Eva Perón with Maia Reficco, spanning the years 20–33. Pfeiffer’s performance garnered favorable remarks.
