The 24-year-old son of the Kims, Jung, is employed at Handy Car Rental at the moment. He is gregarious, resourceful, and athletic—until Appa gets in the way. They were never friends. Jung had always yearned for Appa’s approval, which he never received. Jung ran away from home, got involved in some minor street crime, spent some time in jail, but he has since straightened things out. He is making a lot of effort to move on from his past and discover his place in the world. Jung’s popularity, self-assurance, and natural leadership qualities serve him well at work. Jung doesn’t talk to Appa, but he has stayed in contact with Janet and Umma since moving out of the house.
While at Handy, Kimchee and Jung talk about Appa’s over-parenting and stealing a van. When Janet extends an invitation to lunch, Jung demands that she use his discount card. Manager Shannon explains to them that it’s only staff members, but they think Janet is Jung’s girlfriend. They talk about Jung’s single status and having a pet ferret. Shannon tries to upgrade her phone plan, and Umma pays Jung a visit at the office. Appa is confronted by Jung on her uncle’s absence and family matters. As Appa gives the car keys back, he notices Jung on a banner from Handy.
Liu Barbie
In the film Barbie: The Movie, he played Ken. He and Ken were in a rivalry. One of the primary protagonists and a previous antagonist in Barbie: The Movie is Ken. He accompanied Stereotypical Barbie on her journey into the real world because he harbored an unfulfilled crush on her. After living in the real world for a while, Ken returned to Barbie Land to impart his knowledge of the patriarchal system there. After his intentions fell through, he discovered that he could embrace who he was without being defined by his relationship with Barbie.
In 1961, he was produced in response to public demand that Mattel make Barbie a lover. But in the movie, she turns him down and doesn’t invite him to her parties since it’s always “girls night.” To give Barbie a taste of her own medicine, Ken informs her it’s “boys night” when he takes charge and temporarily takes over her world.
He discovered that everything seemed to be ruled by men in the actual world. Thus, spurred on by inspiration, he returned to Barbie Land to share his observations with the other Kens. The other Barbies were brainwashed and forced to accept their new, ultimately unsuccessful lives.
