He worked as a server at a coffee shop at night and tried to find modeling jobs during the day. He once had the opportunity to feature in a commercial for shaving cream in ‘GQ’ magazine. His character ‘Malcolm Winters’ became synonymous with Shemar and served as his launch pad into the world of television. He worked with the show for eight years before quitting in 2002.
