Brundidge published her first book, Cameron Goes to School, in April 2020. In April 2021, Brundidge published Daniel Finds His Voice after seeing her son Daniel respond well to learning with audio music. In April 2022, Brundidge published her book, “Brandon Discovers the Sign,” after her son Brandon was thrilled to discover a “Let’s Go Brandon” sign. Brandon received a signed letter from President Biden in response to her book and struck up a friendship with Brandon Brown, who was named after the quote. Brown said their meeting was an opportunity to “retract a statement that I found offensive.”
Brundidge credits her family’s personal experience with autism as a driving force behind her advocacy. Brundage has worked with the Minnesota State Police to improve police interactions with non-verbal citizens and with the NFL to promote clean restrooms at football stadiums. She also works with the Minnesota Department of Health to screen families of color for autism. Brundidge called for greater public awareness of carbon monoxide detectors after five family members died of carbon monoxide poisoning in 2020. Brundidge runs the production company for the podcast “Sheletta Makes Me Laugh.”
