Elliker hosts the morning radio show on WBAL in Baltimore from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. She began in 2007[1] but was later moved to the afternoons when the network switched to an afternoon news format and veteran talk show host Ron Smith moved to the mornings. Ellick later became the host of the “Sally Ellick Afternoon Newsmagazine” in August 2011 when WBAL chose not to renew her contract. She is the recipient of the Associated Press Chesapeake Region’s “Best Interview” award in 2007 and 2008, and a two-time winner of the “Outstanding Reporter” award. Prior to joining WBAL, Elliker’s experience included hosting Broadthinking on XM Radio until December 21, 2007, and appearing on the morning show on WHFS, 99.1 FM in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore for several years starting in 1992. She covers traffic, sits in the “fourth seat” on The Don and Mike Show and works as an afternoon reporter for WUSA.
