Sean Morey is an American stand-up comedian and singer best known for songs like “The Man Song,” “A Hairy Ass,” and “Dear Santa,” among others. Morey began his comedic career in Boston as a street performer on the Boston Common, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and Harvard Square.

Morey began his acting career in Boston as a busboy at Boston Common, Faneuil Hall Market and Harvard Square. In 1977 he opened the Sean Morey School of Comedy, a nine-month one-man show at Boston’s Charles Theatre. He is widely credited with expanding the Boston comedy scene. It was his work there that earned him the title of “Godfather of Boston Comedy.” Morey moved to Los Angeles in 1978 and won the Los Angeles Comedy Competition in 1979. Morey later performed three times on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson. He later did the Jay Leno version of the show three more times.
