He is a former television news anchor and political analyst. For thirteen years, he was an evening news anchor at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2022, Baker returned to WTAE to co-host the midday broadcast with Michelle Wright. From 2010 to 2016, he was the editor-in-chief of The Blaze, which he co-founded. Baker worked full-time for the Reagan-Bush campaign in 1984. He was the Illinois College Republicans’ state president.
