TV3 NZ announced New Zealand’s Next Top Model in late 2008, a spinoff of the popular American series America’s Next Top Model. Tetro, together with Colin Mathura-Jeffree and Chris Sisarich, was cast as the show’s main judge and host. She also appears as a guest judge on Cycle 14 of America’s Next Top Model.
America’s Next Top Model is a reality television show and interactive competition in which aspiring models fight for the title of “America’s Next Top Model” and the opportunity to begin their modeling careers. The series, created by Tyra Banks and developed by Ken Mok and Kenya Barris, started in May 2003 and broadcast semiannually until 2012, then annually beginning in 2013. Tetro is a former model who worked with Maysie Bestall-Cohen, a local agent. She became a casting agent after five years of modeling and launched her own modeling company, “62 Models,” in 1994. She later purchased “The People Shop,” a casting firm with clients such as Hayley Holt, Marc Ellis, Temepara George, Wendy Petrie, Michael Campbell, and Doug Howlett. She is in charge of a team of six people.
Tetro was later cast by television producer Julie Christie to compete in the reality series Treasure Island, where she stranded fellow contestants Peggy Bourne and Simon Doull. She negotiated Dan Carter’s contract as a model for Jockey Underwear and provides every model for Farmers ads.
